Alright y’all, this edition is going to be a mixed bag—part downer, part, well, not. You’ve been warned.
I hate to even have to write these words, but here we are, in 2023, queerphobia on the rise, both in everyday life and from the state. Most of my news is from Instagram and my lovely friends who are very good at keeping me up to date. Here’s a mix of highlights in the United States.
Wednesday, April 25th, was Lesbian Day of Visibility! (Though was it the whole week? Or… y’know, every day??)
In the past few weeks there have been some losses…
And there have been some wins.

Ultimately, I think about who’s most vulnerable, and I think about my own position of privilege. Black trans people and children the most at risk. Take the pledge to protect them through your actions.
