Thanks for your writing. It’s helpful to be reminded how recent Stonewall and Compton’s were in the larger scheme of things. When I get distraught about recent events (e.g. SCOTUS decisions), I try to remember that at one point I couldn’t legally marry my choice of partner and then later in life I did. When I started working in the trans health world, I was told it wasn’t a thing and I better choose something else. I still hope MLK was right about the long arc of time bending toward justice.... but sometimes it feels more like a spiral. 😵💫
